"A worthwhile listen"
After being so captivated by the various stories, I searched audiobooks by each author...they all have a new fan, looking forward to supporting their work...still in stitches.
Keep them coming, you've really converted me to loving comedy fiction!
"Tales with a twist"
this seems to be out of the series tales of the unexpected or Roald Dahl' short stories for adults. enjoyable and bite sized for human consumption. excellent work steeped in contemporary times
Wow where did that time go.
A host of 15 minute tales that just make time and traffic disappear. Wasn't sure they'd grip me at first, but the delivery of these short stories is better without the distraction of the tv.
A must for all Jackanory lovers - If you enjoyed the recent TV series on DAVE (sponsered by Audible) then this is a great way to catch up on the previous series
Used to watch it on Dave, and listening to the audiobook is just as entertaining.
"Best thing since sliced bread."
wonderful narration a great audio book so entertaining I listened to some of the stories several times. Could do with more like this to listen too.
"Tall tales for big 'uns"
A brilliant mix of fantasical stories read by top comics...we even get to hear the legendary Rik Mayall (although his performance doing 'George's Marvellous Medicine' on Jackanory is the one that will stay with me forever!)
These twenty one short stories (15-20mins long) read brilliantly by top comedians, are perfect little treats for a quick listen here and there, or for a short story marathon.
"Look out for the little odd things in life."
This book exceeded my expectations. Having watched the adverts on the tv for their version I was very unsure if it was for me. However I listen and enjoyed and gave quite a few chuckles. Very enjoyable and I would recommend it as a good read which you can just read a chapter at a time or like me just keep on going.
"A fun listen"
Some great short stories and some not so good but overall a good and fun listen
"Funny adult Jackanory stories. Need more."
Picked this up as my first free book on Audible. had me chuckling out loud on the train to and from work. We need more of these. And soon.
