Story
The usual suspects, including Lord Emsworth and his prize pig, the Empress, line up at Blandings Castle for a Wodehousian caper that sees members of the upper-classes getting hot and bothered over a nude painting they all want to get their hands on. This is wit at its very finest, read by one of our superlative actors, who reads Wodehouse with the requisite style and panache.

And now I must learn the banjolele
Such a funny classic in the Jeeves series. Retiring to the country to focus on his banjolele obsession is one of the more hilarious plot lines Wodehouse has offered readers. The narration is top notch - Wooster’s tone is captured beautifully.
I am not saying we should read all books with the lens of the time in which we are reading them rather than the time in which they were written or the time in which they are set. But there are some offensive words which just don’t belong here, regardless of this.

Racism undermines its skilled construction.
It's racist, no two ways about it. Written with Wodehouse's usual eloquence and narrated excellently, but the casual racism detracts.

Contains several instances of the N word
Contains several instances of the N word, which could easily have been changed without losing anything from the story. Disappointing.
