"An Enchanting Tale"
How absolutely enchanting it was, this book is wonderful for children and adults alike. It has true heroes who face great odds and have to make tough choices. These characters are easy to relate to and you will get lost in the story.
He was wonderful in giving each character their own life and style. It was easy to get carried away with the story.
I did laugh out loud a few times :)
This is a great family story or a personal read. All ages will love it and it will give you something to talk about, think about and play for a long time to come. You will not look at a rabbit the same way again, you will smile.
"Best author ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW, WOW, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I really like S D smith! He is the best author in the world! I cannot wait until Ember Falls comes out! They should make a movie out of his books. However, I liked Joel Clarkson better than Eric Fritzuse (I might not have spelled his name right) I am a kid. So those adults can't say what my feeling are, I am telling you right now that my real feeling are I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!! I say the same thing for the Green Ember too!!!!!!!
"Can't wait for the sequel!"
We have listened to The Green Ember and were sucked right in to the story. This prequel was very intriguing to learn the 'back story' and now we look forward to the sequel. S.D. Smith, write on!
Shorter prequel. Does not require reading the Green Ember first. Looking forward to next in series.
"Talk about the next book"
The next book is da da da the ember falls. I love the other books as well.
Our 7 year old really enjoyed it. 5 year old seemed to get lost but still finished it. I probably enjoyed listening to it with them the most
"A disappointment after the Green Ember"
The delivery felt rushed. I slowed the speed of delivery and even still it wasn't adequate for my kids to become engaged. We abandoned the book after a 30 minute ride in the car. Given that, I gave the story 3 stars because we didn't even give it a full chance.
No. The audio performance didn't hold a candle to The Green Ember.
We were hoping for a little more of the same performance as the Green Ember. It wasn't.
"Not very good"
