"That boy thinks the world of you," Xiaolang murmured. "And..." he visibly hesitated, slanting a questioning look at me from the corner of his eye.
"And...?" I encouraged him. Xiaolang rarely hesitates in his speech. When he wanted to say something, he said it.
"He'll be very important in the future," Xiaolang murmured. "I'm not sure how to put this..." He paused, mouth rummaging for words. "Something will change very soon, Garth. Someone will be discovered who will change everything. When that happens, you need to trust Trev'nor like he trusts you. Much will be lost otherwise."
I looked, really looked at Trev'nor. Trev'nor has always been special, a child prodigy in a life that had no child prodigies. My head was swimming with questions after Xiaolang's revelation. Who was the boy we were to rescue, and why was Trev'nor so important for that boy?

"Good Ideas but not thought threw"
Yes, If you were looking for something you did not have to invest your thoughts into.
I love a good book with magic in it. This book has magic but not a good magical structure. example: The main character can travel under the earth with lots of people and animals in record time. But when they discover a treasure they have to cart it out. Really!! Lets hop on that earthway and get this treasure there in record time.
When you give someone power to do anything, it kills a realistic use of magic. Because you can do everything better with magic.
"awww book 2"
The best Artists.....Writer and Narrator perfect combination...They are like a bow to a violin
Garth and friends (new and old) as they begin their mission to save the magic users of Chahir
He is spot on with what I would expect the people to sound like... He makes them just out of the story
I will continue to be a fn of Author Honor Raconteur
"Honor Raconteur is my Author of the Year."
Yup it is still as good as it get's, Honor Raconteur is still my author of the year. This series is getting better and better, I have been a fantasy nut for quite a while, with the occasional side step into science fiction, but this series has me captured, I cannot wait for each new book. Being blind I need the kind of narrator that talks these books, he unerringly has each character off pat, I never have to think "now who is this again?". Each time he changes from one to another I know exactly which person it is. Honor Raconteur has a great talent for fantasy, and I do mean GREAT, and this series is worth every credit I pay, so keep it up Honor. J
