Off on a camping trip with a family friend the 4 children and dog hear strange noises in the night. Ghost trains? Abandoned railways? Secret tunnels? All very exciting and fun for younger listeners - although older listeners may enjoy these stories too as they have all the hallmarks of a great mystery.
Love it .I recommend for all ages.Love the spook trains. They scared me a bit.Hahahahaha.
"I can not sleep"
Very night for bed I put it on sleep timer, end of chapter, and the chapter ends I always have to put the next chapter on. P.s it is so exciting.
"A jolly exciting story"
Read as well as ever by Jan Francis - she really does read extremely well and with feeling but without being 'twee'. These audiobooks keep us all hooked from start to finish.
"Five Go Off To Camp (Book 7)"
Once again our quirky quintet take off to the moors in search of a good old rollicking adventure. They are accompanied by Julian and Dick's schoolmaster, Mr Luffy, a man obsessed with creepy crawlies. The small group set up camp near a farm, where they befriend a young boy, Jock, whose mother and stepfather own the smallholding. There's talk of 'spook trains' running under the moors and why is the farm so prosperous when all of the labourers seem somewhat workshy?
It's another great adventure with plenty to draw the listener in. Jan Francis, as ever, remains an excellent narrator.
