Might be useful for someone who has no clue but badly narrated (ironically), makes wild assumptions about income streams and has ridiculous scenarios thrown in for good measure. Don't bother. You can't pick up al contained and more on youtube for free!
Yes, I would recommend. as it has wonderful contend about the explosion of audio books. and how to get into the field at low cost. But with a warning about the audio quality, as an academically trained audio tech my friends expect me to advice them on things of that nature.
the website he gives out to get started into this field as an audio-book narrator.
Clear, Monotone, and over-pronounced which is a good thing.
Yes, I've signed up to audition as a narrator for audio books using one of the websites he mentioned.
Short read or listen, but worth it if your looking to generate an income stream other than your day job.
"Practical and Actionable Advice"
This audio book gives the audience sound and practical advice on how to use the technology of your iPhone to produce audiobooks.
Charles Thornton no only tells you how to do it, he gives you the encouragement to succeed that may not come from anywhere else as there will surely be skeptics among you as you pursue a career in making audio books.
This audio book is concise and gets at the heart of what you need to do to get started and covers the potential income stream. Thornton also gives you a multitude of quotes from some of the most successful super achievers of all time to show you that nothing is impossible if you can see it in your mind and persist until your goals are met.
I highly recommend this book and the principles that are advocated with it.
"Very helpful guide"
If you dream of becoming a narration entrepreneur and to live a passive income lifestyle, this should be your first stop. It is concise and informative guide, that provides a crystal clear map for becoming a successful audiobook entrepreneur. It has some great tips you will want to keep referring to in the future and I highly recommend this gem for anyone interested in this kind of business. Thank you for taking the time to make this wonderful book Mr. Charles Thornton!
"Awesome book, got me on the road to passive income"
I find some narrators to be irritating and quite grating, but Charles did an excellent job in engaging the listener and keeping my concentration.
Absolutely, and I have listened to it several times since.
An awesome book. I had spent a lot of time trying to find some sort of passive income stream and with the explosion of audiobooks lately, it became apparent that narrating and producing books was the key. I assumed it would be difficult and need a lot of equipment but this audiobook taught me I was wrong. I quickly learned easy to follow steps and within a matter of weeks was making money from this, which is growing every day. Awesome book!
"Helpful, but falls short"
This book contains a wealth of very helpful information for people looking to get started in the audiobook industry. However, the recording quality is poor and the tone reads like a "get rich quick" scheme, despite the author's assertions to the contrary.
Loved it, starting my natration career asap!
Narration was clear, concise.
Thank You very much, Charles.
"To be fair."
The message was delivered but the quotes were not needed.
An attempt to inspire ? OK: I will take it as informational and therefore effective and since information is what I am after it will suffice.
I am not otherwise qualified to form an opinion on this topic.(YET)!
I 'll be in touch.
"So glad I gave it a chance"
This audiobook has amazing advice and helpful resources for the complete beginners but also some great insights for people who may have been doing this kind of work for a while. It is an easy to understand guide for those who are considering career of an audiobook narrator. You just need your iPhone, this audiobook, and what's most important, to be ready to take some action. This is not one of many "get-rich-quick" guides, because it is crafted for people who are willing to do some hard work. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this guide and I highly recommend it to all people interested in this subject.
I love this book! Quick and to the point without a catch. I don't have an iPhone, but I can still apply his lessons using my android.
"Give him credit for trying"
Not sure whether this was supposed to be motivational or instructional. It was hard to follow. The overall message seemed to be: just get out and do it. Learn by blundering your way through it. That's a great message. And to the author's credit, he's walking the walk by producing this.
But it was poorly executed. Organization and (ironically) narration made this difficult to sit through. If it had been any longer, I'd have given up.
