From Publishers WeeklyWith his 300-odd video and audio courses (sales at one mil.), and 30 books, Tracy has built a strong motivational sales and marketing brand. This latest installment shapes pop psychological constructs to fit Tracy's existing paradigms: "Your subconscious does not think or decide. It merely obeys your mental commands." Tell that to Dr. Freud, one might retort, but the point here is not fidelity to psychology theory, but efficacy in getting readers to change the way they bring themselves to a sale. Visualization techniques, concrete sales advice and motivational pep talks make up chapters like "The Inner Game of Selling" and "The Power of Suggestion." The "Getting More Appointments" chapter recapitulates sound but Willy Lohman-esque advice like "Sidestep the Excuse" or "Don't Be Put Off"; the book as a whole feels familiar, but it's clearly organized. Even in Tracy's generic prose, the repackaged tried-and-trues will find their marks.

Very helpful and insightful

Hearing this book makes you want to apply everything that's said in this book. Makes you think differently, act in a certain way. They make it sound so simple, only way find out is to apply these strategies and do it to hownit matches your personality and own sales game

Outdated - Potentially for Beginners / Graduates

In a world where organisations have evolved, and inclusivity and diversity are applauded. This book seems right for a salesperson from the 1980's, discussing dress codes, haircuts, hand shaking etc. I have been in sales for the better part of two decades and listening to this book was a burden. I now reflect upon my arduous journey of completing this audio book and can see some potential for someone completely starting out in their career or potentially a graduate coming out of University. Although I do feel the narration will lose a lot of the younger folk being so dry and monotone.

A little outdated for 2020, but some timeless tips. Sales aren't what they used to be, and the work life balance has changed too - making a lot of this book redundant
