Publisher's Summary

With a new foreword by Ken Blanchard.

The original, best-selling blockbuster which has transformed businesses worldwide.

The blockbuster number-one international best-selling phenomenon is back...not that it ever really went away.

This easily read story quickly demonstrates three very practical management techniques: One Minute Goals, One Minute Praisings, and One Minute Reprimands.

The One Minute Manager also includes information on several studies in medicine and in the behavioural sciences, which help readers understand why these apparently simple methods work so well with so many people.

The book is brief, the language is simple, and best of all...it works.

well written, easy to understand, compelling.

shame about the Audible player being so buggy. going to buy the hardback version and dump Audible before it crashes my phone anymore. thoroughly recommend the book though and will be buying it as gifts for my friends.

Valuable lessons in cheesy packaging.

The principles of this book are valuable, and the briefness of the information makes it effective and usable - a handy approach for anyone to consider applying anywhere in their life. For me it would have packed a little more punch if the packaging story wasn't so overly whimsical (i.e. "Who is that magic man everyone adores in the corner office, what a legend, everyone sees his genius!") but it does the trick nonetheless.

Nice refresh for this classic

Although they still refer to the process as management, they have really gotten into one minute leadership. Replacing reprimands with redirections is very beneficial, and much more in tune with helping people learn and grow as they raise their performance. When the original version was written, the psychology of the day was aimed at behavior modification. Now it's more aptly aimed at building a collaborative relationship between leaders and their people, with the end goal of turning everyone into a leader, or at least a self-leader.

Great for everyone in business

I'm an account manager in the Biotdch field and this was suggested to me by a colleague. I got a lot out of this and look forward to listening to it again. It's short but sweet, and adds a lot of value. Highly recommend.
