The Great Fragmentation: And Why the Future of All Business is Small is a business survival manifesto for the technology revolution.
As the world moves from the industrial era to the digital age, power is shifting and fragmenting. Power is no longer about might and ownership; power in a digital world is about access. Existing businesses need to understand this shift and position themselves to survive and thrive in an environment where entrepreneurs and start-ups enabled by access to technology are genuine threats.
Author Steve Sammartino is widely regarded as a thought leader on the subject of technology and business, and helps companies transition from industrial-era thinking to the mindset and processes required to compete in today's digital marketplace.
The Great Fragmentation shows how technological changes such as Big Data, gamification, crowdfunding, Bitcoin, 3D printing, social media, mashup culture and artisanal production will forever change business and the way we live our lives.
Weaving together insights from business, technology and anthropology, The Great Fragmentation provides both corporations and entrepreneurs with a playbook for the future of work, life and business in the digital era.

Quite an insightful book and great for visionaries to peer into what is potentially to come in the near future.
Excellent book that dissects all of the areas of the new era of fragmented ideas and creation. It's a great overview as to where the world, business, education, marketing and production are all heading, and where some, have already arrived.
It's also a great caking card to take action and be directly part of the fragmentation to change your business, build a business and skills up to be valuable in future.
"Feels like the 2nd edition of the World is Flat"
The book is an OK read.
The book would be an interesting read for a novice, but if you already read the World Is Flat, Wikinomics and a few other books that talked how the world and people are becoming more interconnected, how it's easier to collaborate and share, you won't see much new in this book.
The narrator was excellent, but the content was so thin that I had to listen to at at x3 speed (normally I stay with x2) to not fall asleep.
"Impressed! Ready to listen & read again."
Couldn't stop listening to Steve Sammartino's great insights and futurist predictions on business. I will be downloading the kindle version to read and listen again, but this time taking notes ;-) Excellent work Mr. Sammartino!
Just great! Bunch of deep and futuristic ideas which inspired me to take some small steps towards my own creative business.
