If you grow up in a world where wrinkles are practically illegal, going bald is cause for a mental breakdown, and women over size zero are encouraged to shoot themselves (immediately), what the hell do you do if you're, gasp.... disabled?
Whatever body you're born into, the pressure to be normal is everywhere. But have you ever met a normal person? What do they look like? Where do they live? What do they eat for breakfast? And what the **** does normal mean anyway?
This is the award-winning wobbly comedian Francesca Martinez's funny, personal, and universal story of how she learned to stick two shaky fingers up to the crazy expectations of a world obsessed with being 'normal'.

"The listen of a lifetime!"
I have listened to many books on audible but never one that has made me both laugh & cry so much in equal measure. A brilliantly funny book overflowing with poignant moments & hilarious observations about life. This is a must read/listen for everyone of all ages.
An life-affirming, funny and passionate book that will get you thinking. Francesca puts her amazing family at the heart of it and their being so very cool has certainly rubbed off on her too.

I loved this book and the general summaries that Francesca writes / reads at the end - that apply to anyone's life - were so well thought out and written, that I will definitely listen to them again.

I did listen to this at one sitting as I was working and stopped occasionally to re-listen to sections if I'd dropped out of concentration.
I've listened to a few autobiographies of comedian and this ranks with the best of them.
