Graham Norton has been entertaining audiences and having fun with some of the world's biggest stars for nearly 20 years. He is loved across the nation for his delight in the peculiar and for his ability to find humour and a common ground in all that life brings.
The Life and Loves of a He Devil is Graham's funny and honest memoir on the theme of love. As he shows, it's really the things you love that make you who you are and so Graham tells his story from his Irish childhood to the present day, describing just what and who he loved - and sometimes lost - as a young boy, and his new loves and obsessions - big and small - as he's grown older. It's been 10 years since his last book and, being a decade older, Graham has come to realise that what makes a life interesting is less what happens to you and more what inspires and drives you, what you love....
From Dolly Parton and dogs to wine and Ireland, Graham tells of his life and loves with characteristic humour and outrageous candour.

Really enjoyed this. Laughed out loud at many points while it still feeling like a chat over coffee with a friend. The chapter about his dogs is probably my favourite.
Graham always seems full of enthusiasm, energy and joy when entertaining various people. His book is just as enjoyable as his shows.
Genuine, Funny, Graham
His bus trip home after a night out.... so funny because we all know someone who that has happened to
The time he was in Texas with Dolly would have to be the most interesting
My first Audible book (and well, book in general that I have finished in the last few years). Great listen
Thoroughly entertaining. Graham tells his story with right intonations, a good sense of humour and some sadness where needed. Good fun read.
I found this to be a very relatable and enjoyable memoir. I loved that Graham narrated the book - it made the stories more interesting and genuine.
I grew up in country Australia in the same era and could relate to the stories about his childhood experiences at that time.
Also, anyone who loves pets will enjoy the stories about his dogs and the joy they bring to his life.
"Light frothy fun"
This was a fun listen, bawdy at times, honest and personal. I enjoyed it but I was already a fan.
"Read if you want to laugh-cry..."
I knew nothing of Mr. Norton before this book but he is now one of my YouTube staples. I wish American talk shows would try his format of having all the guests out together the whole time. I enjoy seeing different celebrities interact. Maybe they just don't have Norton's degree of skill at hosting. He seems like he would throw the best parties. He's hilarious & I wish audible had his first memoir available as well.
"Easy and funny listen"
Very easy and funny book. Also read really well by Graham himself. The book's length is perfect. Not too long. It was a perfect and entertaining listen for my hours on the road.
As much as I love his shows I found this book a tad long. He repeats stories about his dog and Christian for example. Could have been edited better.
"Wise and Silly"
Thanks Graham Norton for time well spent listening to your book. And thanks for reminding me that life is a "come as you are affair." I am also a big fan of your show and am glad you thought the episode with Matt Damon was one of the best.
Didn't know what to expect but quite liked his witty sense of humour from his TV show and on eurovision so thought I'd give it a listen.
More than glad I did as it is thought provoking, entertaining, deep and well delivered.
Can't wait for the next edition!!
If you like Graham Norton, you will love this book, and what you will come to realize is that he is a real person on screen and off. Witty, charming, intelligent, and very sweet!
I liked the way he organized the book into chapters by subjects. Yes, he jumps around a little, but it was easy to follow and I found myself laughing out loud at several parts, especially stories about his dogs....his humor and storytelling are pure genius.
It wouldn't have been half as good, without Graham doing the narration. My only complaint is that it ended much too soon, and left me wanting more. Thank goodness for BBC America and YouTube.
it's like sitting down to dinner with your best friend who happens to be Graham Norton.
I loved this book I found myself laughing out loud which is not easy for me. I especially loved the part about the dogs. Highly recommended it.
Really enjoyed this audiobook. Graham is a captivating storyteller, I'm just sad I've finished it now.
"I laughed, I cried, I want more!"
Yes, candid, honest and thought provoking!
Laugh out loud funny as expected, but the tears took me by surprise, his reading a letter from his agony column had me in bits!
My only complaint is it ended too soon, hopefully there is more where this came from .
"Weak, but diverting if you're a committed fan"
If you are one of Graham Norton's many fans, then you will enjoy this collection of fairly trivial anecdotes. This is one of those rare audiobooks where it's crucial that it's read by the author - if you find his voice cheers you up, then you will find the book keeps you entertained while you are doing something else.
As for me, I like his TV programme very much, but mainly because of his talent for getting his guests to relax and entertain us. The book does a less good job and his stories didn't seem much more amusing than those of anyone off the street, with the obvious exception of those involving celebrities. So a mixed bag, probably best left to Norton devotees.
"enjoyed this very much"
If you like Graham Nortons wit on TV you will love this book. Great
"A Good listen"
Good enough so it was, a bit too much about the dogs (who cares about somebody else's dogs? You may love them but we don't ). But very enjoyable nonetheless . I think you could have told the story without being tipped back in your seat - so well done!
"Bit lacking but good"
not bad summary
it was well read but the book lacked a lot of depth
Made me laugh at points
Just wish it had a bit more to it
Because its read by Graham himself, in his amusing tone its very eay to listen to.
"Graham Norton is hilarious"
Yes. Graham Norton is very funny indeed. He doesn't hold back on anything, but handles it all with a certain amount of finesse.
I loved it when he talked about his labradoodle, who features all through the book.
When he spoke about his family growing up and when his Mum got ill
Its Graham Norton, love him or loath him, you can't deny he is naturally funny.
"If you like Graham on telly, you'll love this too."
A frank and amusing autobiography. We can share in his success but he never brags. Quite 'descriptive' about his relationships in parts.....then there's also lots in there about his lovely Mum and immediate family. And the dogs, he really loves his dogs. Loved it. But my absolute favourite is his recent fictional novel, now that is REALLY nice. Holding, it's called Holding.
"Great insight into Graham's life"
Really enjoyed listening to Graham's honest account of his raise to stardom and the effect this has had on his personal life.
Did not know much about GN before and was a great way to get to know more about his life so far
