Publisher's Summary

Belle de Jour is the nom de plume of a high-class call girl working in London. This is her story. From the summer of 2003 to the autumn of 2004, Belle charted her day-to-day adventures on and off the field in a frank, funny, and award-winning web diary. Now, in her Intimate Adventures, Belle elaborates on those diary entries, revealing (among other things) how she became a working girl, what it feels like to do it for money, and where to buy the best knickers for the job.

From debating the literary merits of Martin Amis with naked clients to smuggling whips into luxury hotels, this is a no-holds barred account of the high-class sex-trade, and an insight into the secret life of an extraordinary woman.

    Story
"Not really a call girl, says ex-boyfriend in court"
If you could sum up The Intimate Adventures of a London Call Girl in three words, what would they be?

    most ancient profession

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

It wasn't a story, she kept a diary. That changes the way you listen.

What does Anonymous bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

French days of the week were nicely pronounced.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The clients who she always says were nice, that actually weren't all so nice, was kind of a white lie but she just did her job and her attitude of just benefiting from everything.

    "Got to the end but..."

This book barely starts on eroticism before it fizzles out. It leaves you always wanting more but never really follows through. I don't know whether I got a corrupt download but it peters out before the end mentioning life and chopped liver. Got to the end of the book but that really is the best that could be said about it.
