Loved it..... More please

I was keen to read this book after I heard Jackie Kay interviewed on the radio recently. It did not disappoint! The true story of this woman born of a Scottish mother and Nigerian father then adopted was remarkable. Jackie reading the story made it even more riveting and I could not put it down. On one hand I wanted to know what happened next but the other hand did not want it to finish! Jackie is a talented writer and I look forward to more of her writing. She has great insights into human attitudes and behaviour.
There has to be sequel to this first book and hopefully many other novels. Highly recommended

Engaging read

It's well written, poignant and surprisingly funny! The middle bit waffles a bit, but Kay's poets prose carries you through. A great story for everyone, and perhaps more so if adoption has played a part in your own story.
