Great story & easy to listen to
Loved it., funny, witty and a great insight into a young man's view of being a Muslim and their traditions.
Highly recommend it.

A wonderful,quite believable work of fiction
I just loved listening to this entertaining novel.
I read it after I had surgery and I could not put it down ! I had to use the the timer constantly as I drifted a bit due to pain medication. It is so wonderful to be enveloped by a book such as this one .
I loved Osamah's art of storytelling. The prose, the humour, and the gentle lilt of his voice are unforgettable. I just can't wait for the next novel. Thankyou Osamah.

Very entertaining and moving story
This book made me laugh and cry, it was a very moving story while retaining humour throughout the toughest parts of the story. It resonated with me as an Aussie growing up in an area with many different cultures and it was really fascinating to hear about Osama's early life in Iran.

Funny, sad, inspiring, uplifting
Osamah, I loved your story so much, I even got teary in your acknowledgements! Your father was a very special human indeed and I get the sense that he has taught you well in life to always be kind and considerate. These are the two most important attributes a person can have, and we need more people like you (and him) in this world. He would be so proud of the way you fought so hard to bring him home to Australia so his family could give him a proper farewell.
This book shines a light on the experiences of people who have gone through war, settling in new and strange lands and their endeavours to fit in and have a sense of belonging. It is not the usual trauma filled account of war and immigration. Osamah manages to somehow not be angry or resentful with the world. This is what truly grabbed me about his memoir. We could all learn a lot from his attitude to life.

Marvellous!
I'm only sorry it wasn't longer. I wanted to hear more of Osamah's story. Written with great humour and humility, it was so engrossing I had to finish it in one sitting.

Beautiful True Stories read by the Author
Where does Good Muslim Boy rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This is the first Audible book I listened too, I've listened to other audio books years ago but this got me back into it. I listened to the whole book in under a week. So pleased it was read by Osamah Sami the author.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Osamah and his father. Full of love and trying to do their best, despite in Osamah's case, being a stupid kid
