Where does My Sporting Life with Bruce Grobbelaar rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is actually my favourite of the My Sporting Life series so far and I've listened to around 40 of them.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Bruce talks about his life in a very frank manner which comes across as extremely sincere, self effacing and likeable.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Bruce really has lived through some harrowing experiences and he has off set these with a huge amount of fun throughout a very full life.

    Any additional comments?

A superb listen, Bruce's voice and delivery is also a highlight. Danny Kelly's noises in the background when listening always set me off!

    "excellent honest and frank"

An excellent insight into a remarkable man's remarkable life. Bruce grobbelaar as seen so mutch tragedy and turmoil in his life both on and off the pitch from being a young man in the Army witnessing the country he loves being torn apart to the hartache of the Hilborough stadium disaster. Of course not everything in Bruce's life as been negative he as had the most glittering of football carriers of which I had the privilege of witnessing. throughout all this he as remained a honest humble man (CLOWN). Good luck in the future Bruce.
