Something lurks in the darkness of the trees. A group of friends goes on a hike in search of an ancient spring deep inside the forest. Mythical stories come from the woods—tales of gnomes, fairies, and other not so benevolent creatures. Everything changes for the group when they run into a hiker that mysteriously vanished in the area weeks ago. Story
Hundreds of feet beneath the ocean's surface, a graveyard waits. Years ago, the SS Arcadia vanished without a trace during a routine voyage. Though a strange, garbled emergency message was broadcast, neither the ship nor any of its crew could be found. Sixty years later, its wreck has finally been discovered more than three hundred miles from its intended course: a silent graveyard deep beneath the ocean's surface, eagerly waiting for the first sign of life.

This is the way the world ends. Not with a bang but a scream. In the remote mountains of Northern Alaska, Dr. Riley Middleton and her team of archeologists discover a burial site containing mummified remains dating to the last ice age. Story
In 1969, New York’s section of Niagara Falls was drained for maintenance and terrifying truths were revealed. One discovery was so peculiar and chilling it was buried, swept under the raging waters of the falls when they roared anew. The bill for that decision has come due. Alex Weston runs Mist’s Edge River Tours, but his obsession with an ancient myth that foretells the return of a ravenous sea creature puts him at odds with the law. Alex knows the beast’s ancient hibernation cycle is complete, and it’s time for the leviathan to feed.
Publisher's Summary
A new breed of terror that rises from the depths of the ocean. To hunt. To devour. To kill.
The first attack occurs in the underwater caverns of the Bahamas. Two professional divers exploring the unknown. A monstrous flesh-ripping predator they never see coming.
Now the attacks are coming closer and closer to shore. A sun-soaked playground for sea-loving tourists. A human feasting ground for whatever lurks beneath.
Now, in a desperate race against time, Eric Watson, an expert on remote control underwater vehicles, and marine biologist Valerie Martell, must identify a savage new species of killer — and piece together one of nature’s most horrific mysteries. But the most terrifying discovery of all waits for Val and her team at the bottom of the sea. A discovery too shocking to comprehend.
Because up 'til now, this creature existed only in mankind’s darkest nightmares. Not anymore.

Better stories around
As always Graphic Audio stories are very enjoyable. the effort that goes into creating a 'movie in your mind' really pays off and I have enjoyed quite a few very enjoyable and wild rides through their catalogue of creature features.
Unfortunately, the story upon which this production lies didn't appeal to me as much as some others.
Ultimately, it's entertaining enough, and starts out strong but runs out of steam a bit toward the end, climaxing with a finale that seemed quite pointless to me. If this is your first adventure with Graphic Audio and you didn't enjoy it, please try other stories of theirs. some of them are absolute crackers.
