Story
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Story
When you let go, you live intuitively. Everything flows, because you are no longer attached to things being a certain way, to being a certain person or always being right. What a relief. The irony is that when you feel stuck in any area of your life - career, relationships, purpose, health or money - letting go can seem very hard. You cling on for dear life just at the moment you need to take the leap. In The Power of Letting Go, John Purkiss explains why we should let go and how we can do it, using proven techniques to make things happen.

Story
Hugh van Cuylenburg was a primary school teacher volunteering in northern India when he had a life-changing realisation: despite the underprivileged community the children were from, they were remarkably positive. By contrast, back in Australia Hugh knew that all too many children struggled with depression, social anxieties and mental illness. His own little sister had been ravaged by anorexia nervosa. How was it that young people he knew at home, who had food, shelter, friends and a loving family, struggled with their mental health, while these kids seemed so contented and resilient?

Drawing from the pool of psychological research on these topics, as well as the timeless wisdom of philosophers such as Plato, Nietzsche, and Tom Waits, he dissects religion and politics and the uncomfortable ways they have come to resemble one another. He looks at our relationships with money, entertainment, and the internet, and how too much of a good thing can psychologically eat us alive.

Money - investing, personal finance, and business decisions - is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together. In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money.

In this audiobook, Richo offers a fresh perspective on love and relationships - one that focuses not on finding an ideal mate, but on becoming a more loving and realistic person. Drawing on the Buddhist concept of mindfulness, How to Be an Adult in Relationships explores five hallmarks of mindful loving and how they play a key role in our relationships throughout life.

Publisher's Summary
Unf*ck Yourself is the handbook for the resigned and defeated, a manifesto for real-life change and unleashing your true potential.
Have you ever felt like a hamster on a wheel, furiously churning your way through life but somehow going nowhere? Like the happiness you seek, the relationship you crave or the career you've always wanted are constantly out of reach? If the answer to these questions is yes, then you are a victim of your own self-doubt. And now is the time for you to unf--k yourself.
This is not the usual self-help book. This is blunt-force trauma to the way you think life has to be for you. Most importantly, it is designed to give you an authentic leg up - one that feels genuine and right for you and can propel you to new levels of greatness. It will teach you not to look to the outside world for answers but inside yourself. You will learn how to take full responsibility for your life, the highs and the lows, and you'll actually feel good about it - no, in fact, you'll feel f--king great about it!

F#cking Brilliant!
This really does hit home how we allow our conditioned past rule our decision making. But with a Scottish sledgehammer right between the eyes out awareness can be expanded through choice. We can decide to be who we want by getting out of our head and into action and in to life. We are what we do, not what we think! ... F#cking love it! 👊🏻🤘🏼

One of the best self help books I’ve read!
Listened to this book many times now (as one of the things I love about it is it’s so short and concise). Even getting my partner to listen to it now and he probably hasn’t read/listened to a book since he was forced to in high school. I can genuinely say this book has changed my life for the better. It’s hard to take accountability/responsibility for your life rather than just sit back and go “my life sucks” (especially during lockdown here in Australia). A lot of self help books I will start with a lot of momentum and by the 4th chapter start getting bored and lose my pace but this book I can get through easily. Can’t wait to get the paperback copy to have on my bookshelf of favourites. Massive thank you to the author. Wish I could hug you 😂
