Publisher's Summary

Now a major motion picture directed by Martin Scorsese, starring Leonardo Dicaprio (The Great Gatsby, The Aviator), Matthew McConaughey (Mud, Magic Mike), Jonah Hill (Moneyball), Jean Dujardin (The Artist), Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights, Zero Dark Thirty) and Joanna Lumley (Absolutely Fabulous), and adapted for the screen by Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire). "What separates Jordan's story from others like it, is the brutal honesty." - Leonardo DiCaprio.

Stock market multimillionaire at 26, federal convict at 36, he partied like a rock star, lived like a king, and barely survived his rise and fall as an American entrepreneurial icon. By day he made thousands of dollars a minute. By night he spent it as fast as he could, on drugs, sex, and international globe-trotting. From the binge that sunk a 170-foot motor yacht, crashed a Gulfstream jet, and ran up a $700,000 hotel tab, to the wife and kids who waited for him for at home, and the fast-talking, hard-partying young stockbrokers who called him king and did his bidding, here, in his own inimitable words, is the story of the ill-fated genius they called...The Wolf of Wall Street.

In the 1990s Jordan Belfort, former kingpin of the notorious investment firm Stratton Oakmont, became one of the most infamous names in American finance: a brilliant, conniving stock-chopper who led his merry mob on a wild ride out of the canyons of Wall Street and into a massive office on Long Island. In this astounding and hilarious tell-all autobiography, Belfort narrates a story of greed, power, and excess no one could invent - the story of an ordinary guy who went from hustling Italian ices at sixteen to making hundreds of millions. Until it all came crashing down.

There is more to This Book than the Hype

Eric Meyers is an excellent narrator and brought this book to life. I must confess I thought of Margo when he spoke of the duchess.....no more said.

The Wolf of Wall Street is a great read. and a warning to young successful people.

Highly recommended.

Worth reading.

The film takes creative licence with three or four instances, but doesn’t truly capture the self induced insanity.

Excellent ‘performance’ of the narrator

Hard to resist

I purchased the book after watching the movie and I really enjoyed it. The story was insane and summed up in Jordan's line repeated throughout - "lifestyles of the rich and dysfunctional".

I enjoyed the narration except for when he attempted to voice Nadine, which was like nails on a blackboard!

Made me laugh out load

This narrator does an amazing job, he captivates you and it it impossible not to laugh the absurdity of it all. Great and entertaining story.

Cool story, even when you read it with a pinch of salt

Jordan Belfort obviously loves himself but it is a hell of a story. Would love to know how much money he hid from the authorities and the carnage he would have got up to if cryptocurrency was around when he was relevant

The Wolf of Wall Street

I have never given a written review and have read lots of books in the past. For those who read or listen to audio books will know that when you find that book that you can’t put down, every spare minute you just have to pick it up. This is that book. Not only is the story captivating but the narrator is flawless, passionate, switching between characters seamlessly offering full personal effect.
I have already highly recommended this book to all my friends and have received the same feedback I am giving.
