Publisher's Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

This audiobook in The Thursday Murder Club series is read by a new narrator, Fiona Shaw.

A new mystery is afoot in the third book in the Thursday Murder Club series from record-breaking, bestselling author Richard Osman.

This audiobook includes an exclusive interview between Richard Osman and journalist and TV presenter Steph McGovern.

It is an ordinary Thursday, and things should finally be returning to normal.

Except trouble is never far away where the Thursday Murder Club are concerned. A local news legend is on the hunt for a sensational headline, and soon the gang are hot on the trail of two murders, ten years apart.

To make matters worse, a new nemesis pays Elizabeth a visit, presenting her with a deadly mission: kill or be killed...

While Elizabeth grapples with her conscience (and a gun), the gang and their unlikely new friends (including TV stars, money launderers and ex-KGB colonels) unravel a new mystery. But can they catch the culprit and save Elizabeth before the murderer strikes again?

Brilliant from Richard Osman- again

This is an intriguing, highly entertaining, witty and clever novel. It’s the best yet in this compelling series with sublime narration from the extraordinary Fiona Shaw. May he never cease writing and may Fiona partner with him indefinitely. Can’t wait till the next instalment. ,

Terrrifffic!

Tick tick tick. Another fun adventure. Absolutely LOVED Fiona Shaw as narrator. I read the other reviews before getting the book and I just can’t understand what all the fuss is about regarding changing narrators.
Fiona is a superb actor and does the book proud on every level.
In fact, I think she’d be great playing one of the characters in the movies that will inevitably come out.
Looking forward to the next one.
Well done everyone involved!

We were counting the days until it came out...

These books get better and better and you fall in love with the characters so very quickly.

The plot is very sophisticated, has great twists and is laugh out loud funny. It Is also poignant and the characters' personalities and foibles are so beautifully observed. You feel like you have known them all your life.

So sorry though to have to say that some Fiona's accents and character differentiations are weak.

We were thrilled to see she is narrating but the foreign accents are not great. She would be fabulous as Joyce or Elizabeth in an actual movie / series.

The gang is back, very entertaining

Change of narrator and It took a chapter or so to get used to the new voices of the characters but the writing is very strong and the characters soon melted into an altered state in my ears. Fun and complex plot with quirky characters and a nice line of social reality and morality underscoring it all. Looking forward to book no4

The gang does it masterfully again

Great but diverse characters, strong friendships, intrigue, witty banter and a cold case for the gang to masterfully unravel.
Love them all!

Well, another spectacular adventure! Regardless of the new narrator.

I have no recommendations to add or unhelpful suggestions!! I dearly adore all of these characters, plus additions and ransoms that roll through.

Yes I did have a little heart attack when I noticed there was a new narrator!!! But, I still enjoyed the flow, feel and felt the same care of characters in the reading!!

Thanks
Catherine
