Story
Most diet books teach you to set short-term weight loss goals. Whether low-carb or low-fat, the typical plan goes like this: restrict your food choices, exercise until exhaustion, and swallow stacks of supplements. These “solutions” do a better job of lightening your wallet than lightening you. Meanwhile, the healthcare industry fails to prevent chronic disease. Rather than showing people how to remain healthy and prevent illness through proper nutrition, the system offers drugs and surgery to manage symptoms.

Publisher's Summary
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a book summary of The End of Alzheimer's by Dale Bredesen and not the original book. This summary serves best as a companion to the original and contains a chapter-by-chapter analysis, including key takeaways. This summary does not contain the full ReCODE program.
Alzheimer’s disease is largely preventable, and often reversible.
Those are bold statements, especially from a conventionally-trained neurologist. But Dale Bredesen, MD, seems to be no ordinary neurologist.
After more than 30 years of intensive research into the molecular mechanisms underlying Alzheimer’s (AD), and clinical experience caring for thousands of patients, Bredesen is convinced many of medicine’s central dogmas about dementia are misguided at best, and flat-out wrong at worst.
He disputes the fact that there is no effective treatment or prevention method for it, providing details of his extensive and highly successful research as evidence. Bredesen dissects the disease, highlighting many contributory factors - such as insulin resistance and nutrient optimization - that almost always go unmentioned in traditional treatment.
He closes his book with a reminder that once everybody knew a cancer survivor, but nobody could name an Alzheimer’s survivor. That has now changed.
(Disclaimer: This is NOT the original book. If you’re looking for the original book, it is available from Amazon and Audible.)

Review of the Summary.
This book is what it states it is a summary of The End of Alzheimers. It didn’t go in depth but it emphasised that there are 36 potential factors that can increase your chances of getting dementia. Therefore preventing dementia can not be one pill or one type of treatment it has to be a multifaceted approach.

The end of Alzheimers
I really enjoyed listening to this book and it was great to hear about the current program to prevent the disease to progress further. My mother has the disease so I’d like to work on the preventative measures not to develop the disease. I wish I knew earlier about these findings to help my mother but the disease has progressed too far now and she lost completely her cognitive function.
I’ll refer this book to my siblings and friends. Thank you.

Excellent summary- worth the money.
I am a health professional and buy many health books. Often I find them irrelevant or repetitive, and feel I’ve wasted my money. This summary gave enough information for me to know that this book would be worth my money to buy. The summary itself contained lots of helpful tips and a clear explanation of the orotocol.

Brilliant!
Excellent straight to the technical point. I’m in Sydney Australia and yet to find a Doctor with such thinking. This book clearly explains what is needed and what must be done to start the steps toward recoding yourself to reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s and other illnesses. I have been fasting for 3 years now and lost 30kg. But my diet was lacking. Now I know more a lot more about science behind brain function and health. Thank you Dr Bredesen 🙏🙏🙏

JOY! THERE IS A CLEAR PATH...HOPE.
Brilliant! I cannot stress enough how clever the author arranged the chapters to repeat! Especially in the Audible format! I assume to reinforce recall of content which I found so kind and considerate to this reader recently given the oh so scary diagnosis of early Alzheimers . THANK YOU DR BREDESEN FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART ❤️
