Story
Raised by Wolves is Michael's story, a classic, 5-book series that follows his life over decades of searching, finding, and losing love. It mirrors Michael's journey, beginning with simplicity, a single date, and grows in depth and complexity as his life evolves and changes. And yes, there is plenty of naked goodness.

Story
Why is every film or tv programme a sequel or a remake? Why are people so f***ing hung up about swearing? Why do the asterisks in that sentence make it okay? Why do so many people want to stop other people doing things, and how can they be stopped from stopping them? These and many other questions trouble David Mitchell. Join him on a tour of the absurdities of modern life - from Ryanair to Richard III, Downton Abbey to phone etiquette, UKIP to hot dogs made of cats.

It is a shocking insight into one of the country's most evil killers, and the operation that brought him down. The disappearance of Queensland schoolboy Daniel Morcombe was one of the most heartbreaking and confounding child abduction and murder cases of the century, spanning almost a decade prior to the eventual arrest of known paedophile Brett Peter Cowan, one of the original persons of interest.

Publisher's Summary
Part provocateur, part seducer, this young gay man’s account of life offers one of the freshest takes on Australia and the world today.
Honouring poets of the past–Jean Genet, Veronica Franco, Euripedes, Hunter S. Thompson, Oscar Wilde–and joining in their task of finding meaning in existence and the modern world, Tolcher has produced a brazenly honest debut without precedent.
Through his writing he subverts his own shame, weaponises it, and positions himself as an anti-hero of our time right when we need him the most.
Following his humble beginnings as an outcast in the dreary outer suburbs of Brisbane and escalating into a Dionysian, poetic and pornographic international climax, Poof follows Tolcher's search for love and purpose as he is drawn to the beds of powerful, sadistic men. If he can endure just a little longer, a little more... will they love him?
In an age of victimhood, Tolcher offers us a roadmap to empowerment and integrity as he pulls back the curtain on both our pride and our shame, and shines a spotlight on a hidden history that has been erased time and again.

Moving and inspirational
The author reads his memoir himself. The raw emotion and originality is overwhelming. Its truth resonates in his voice, at times you can hear him almost cry as he relives the brutality life has imposed on him. Beautifully written while at the same time confronting and honest. Not for the feint hearted. Poof is an intense journey of emotion , self discovery and eventually triumph of someone who society has rejected and marginalised.
