Great book! But one thing missing.
Wonderfully narrated at 0.9x speed.
Bill does a great job of explaining the challenges associated with climate change. I loved listening to all the facts and figures of different industries and the progress being made in our pursuit of clean energy breakthroughs.
When it came to the last chapter about what “we” can do, there are many great things Bill suggests. The only thing that disappointed me about this book is not once did Bill address the amount of products/food we consume. There are plenty of suggestions for “cleaner” options but to not mention anything about our consumption behaviours in terms of quantity is a fundamental roadblock in Bill’s capitalist mindset, in my opinion. If we don’t address how much we consume, a breakthrough in clean energy innovation and reducing green premiums will not be enough to save us.
This book is still very much worth a listen to educate yourself further on climate change. I did enjoy it and will still recommend it to others.
Cheers!

Interesting and funny
I came into this with low expectations for the entertainment value of a book on climate change. But I was delighted to find Bills writing both witty and funny. Great read!

worth a listen particularly by non scientists
A good book written really simply so most people will understand the science without needing to be a scientist. There are a few analogies to covid which detract from the book and ideally a second version should remove or correct them. Overall the message is great and easy to comprehend.

very informative and easy to listen to
I found this book very informative and easy to listen to. however, there is a lot of information and complex theory that may take a few reads to fully grasp. Bill is clearly very well read and cares deeply about the world. It's crazy all the rubbish that comes up on social media about this guy, maybe more people should read this book.
