Great story but wrong narrator for this book
I loved this story and the dynamics and issues between the two sisters. However the narrator for Lexi was bad. It felt like I was listening to my Iphone's Siri robotically reading text when Lexi and sometimes Sam spoke. However I ignored it as I was more interested in the great storyline.

Narrator for Lexie sounds like iPhone's Siri
I really liked the story but the women who narrated 'Lexie' literally sounds like iPhone's Siri. Or when you were younger and you'd type words into the old Mac computers for the female voice to read back to you. The story is good but the writing is high school quality. So many descriptive words are repeated over and over again, such as 'incredulous'. It gets a bit boring when the writer runs out of descriptive words. Also, Lexie is so unbearably annoying, narrator aside, the character herself is so frustrating. Despite the annoying robot narrator I finished the book and did enjoy most of it.

Brilliant book. You must read this.
This was an honest and spot on portrayal of the relationship between two sisters. One is the responsible one who tries to fix everything even when she cant. But she is also an enabler. The other is the dependent sister. You could substitute parent / child in this all too common story of the tragedy of drug abuse where the supporting one will never give up on the other. Buts its not all sad! Kelly writes so beautifully. I will be reading her other books for sure!

Ok
I was a little disappointed with this book after reading Kelly Rimmer's 'The Things We Cannot Say.' The premise was good but I just found it quite repetitive with the same issues being constantly rehashed. I found Lexie's character quite irritating. And to make it even worse, the narrator for Lexie was horrible to listen to, particularly when she was putting on voices for other characters. I did like the ending to the story and got a little emotional with how it finished.

Great Story.
Would have been even better except for the narrator for Lezie and Sam. Her voice was just horrid. Spoilt the whole book. I think the author should think twice about her narrating any more of her books.

Great story but not my favourite narrator
I struggled a bit listening to one of the narrators as her voice was quite distracting and I found it frustrating listening to the added drama in her tone, however the story was good and I eventually got a bit more used to it. Might just be that I’ve been listening to a lot more Australian narrators, so perhaps try the sample before purchasing!
