Hilarious satire for veep lovers
This audio book was just as funny as an episode of VEEP. Julia Louis Dreyfus and Tony Hale are so clever and funny I was crying. If you lived VEEP and miss it, I highly recommend this “book”.

Very enjoyable
Fans of Veep will love this audiobook. It is performed so perfectly by Selina and Gary.
I actually can’t imagine it working as a regular book, because almost all the comedy comes in the delivery.

Great complement to the show
Well, what a “delicious” human Selina Meyer is. Wonderfully narrated even if a little droll in parts. Adds lots of back story. Lots of LOL moments. Well done team. Thanks for all the joy over the years.

Blah blah blah
I love Veep but this was overall drivel. It started strong but in the end I think the reason I loved Veep so much was Selena was toned down by the great supporting characters.

Even Julia LD can't save this awkward fan fiction
As a big Veep fan I practically leapt out of my seat when I came across this - but sadly after six hours I'm mostly disappointed with it. While Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Tony Hale give some really good performances across the book and there're some occasional great lines, anyone hoping for a post-presidential rundown expanding on the people and events of Veep will come away wanting. Almost the entirety of the book is profoundly over the top new content sketching out Selina's childhood and pre-political life. There's almost no commentary on any of the major issues of the show or her team, it's real broad-strokes comedy about how dysfunctional the aristocratic 1% are and what a simultaneously monsterous and pathetic woman she was in college. Towards the end of the book, there're a few jokes about how it skips over most of what her audience is really interested in, which, hit too close to home. Far from the worst six hours you'll ever spend, but I was disappointed in the direction they took this one.
