Coruscating
The story is fast and engaging, with the usual abundance of quality words.
But the words he loves he over uses. If we counted the number of coruscates in this book alone its 3.
In all his books, well I rest my case.
Peter Forbes brilliant as usual.

Another fantastic book
The story, writing combined with the reader make the book irresistible. There is a bit of melancholy and sadness, but there is also unbending right and wrong. Peter May never disappoints.

More excellence from Peter May
This is a very well written and narrated story of drugs, violence and murder set against the backdrop of Southern Spain and Gibraltar.
The story is easy to follow and the ending I worked out with around 10 chapters to go but that said the ending was still exciting to listen to.
As usual with Peter May his powers of description and economical use of words and chapters conjure up a real sense of a place that I have not visited for 50 years but still remember well.
Highly recommended
